T-Ball

The GCAA offers both Fall and Spring T-ball for 4 to 6 year old boys and girls. This league is a fantastic introduction to America's favorite pastime. Players begin to learn the concepts of position play, hitting, and which way to first base. No league standings are kept.

Spring 2013 Eligibility: To be eligible to play T-ball, the child must not turn 7 before May 1, 2013.

Unlike other age groups, T-ball players are not rated or drafted onto teams. At this level the main goal is to teach the basic fundamentals needed for baseball such as throwing, catching, hitting, and running the bases.

T-ball games will be held on weekday evenings at 6:00 and 7:15 and on Saturdays (various times throughout the day). All games have a 1 hour time limit. Teams are guaranteed 10 games.

T-ball rules are a little different than what you will see in our other leagues. All players will bat every inning, even if the opposing team records 3 outs. All players will also play in the field every inning. Batters will hit from a "T". The GCAA does not keep score of any T-ball games and encourages parents to do the same. Enjoying the game of baseball in an instructional setting is our focus!
