FAQ

With registration open, we've been receiving a lot of similar questions that we thought we would post.  If you have any further questions, please don't hesistate to email us at baseball@gcaasports.com.

Q:  How will I know who my son’s coach is?
A: If you chose to remain with the same head coach as the fall, your son will be on the same team, unless you have requested to go back through the draft.  Once the draft is complete, we will take a week to assign teams based on draft picks.  If your son was unable to attend the draft, he will be randomly selected to a team.

Q:  How will I know when my team practices?
A:  Many things will be determined based on the number of participants/teams in each division.  Once teams are set, they will be assigned practice days/times based on head coach seniority.  Just as other programs at GCAA, we have no way of accommodating all requests when it comes to practice days/times.  We have a limited number of fields to work with and do our best to get each team, Coach Pitch and older, at least one practice per week and 2 games per week.

Q:  TBall times were too late in the fall.  Can anything be done about that?
A:   We received a lot of feedback regarding late game times for TBall aged players. That is why this season there will be no TBall games scheduled past 6:15pm.

Q:  Can my son play on his friend’s team?
A:  With TBall aged players, we’re much more flexible with requests such as these.  However, for Coach Pitch aged players and above, these requests are impossible to fulfill.  The great thing about community sports is that our children are able to make new friends with others in our same community.  The only guaranteed pairings on teams are siblings (unless explicitly requested otherwise) and head coach/assistant coach children.
