GCAA Rec Soccer plays by the
"small-sided" games rules as defined by USYSA (US Youth Soccer
Association) and by NCYSA (NC Youth Soccer Association). We believe
these rules and guidelines make the soccer experience for your child
(and the adults) more enjoyable and helps all of them to become better

Highlights of U04 - U08
- Coed Teams
- Small-Sided Games (no goalies, 3v3
or 4v4)
- Focus on Player Development, not on
wins and losses (we don't keep scores or standings)
- Coaches ref games
- No travel for games
- Registration Fees include uniform
(jersey, shorts and socks)
- Registration Cost: $55 (U04, this
also includes soccer ball), $65 (U06 and U08)
Highlights of U10 - U15
- Boy and Girls on separate teams
where possible (single sex teams)
- Small-Sided Games (goalies, with 5
field players in U10, 7 field players in U12, "normal" 11v11 in U14 and
up)
- Focus on Player Development, with
introduction of healthy and friendly competition (however, we don't keep
scores or standings)
- Paid non-partial referees for games
- Some travel may be required for some
games (depends on number of teams)
- Registration Cost: $65
- Separate $20 uniform fee (not
included in Registration Fee) that must be paid at least once per year
(if a child plays in the Fall and then returns to the same team in the
Spring that player may use the same uniform for both seasons)
- Uniform includes soccer jersey,
shorts, and socks

In the Fall we do not sponsor a festival
or tournament. Therefore some of our U10 and older teams may be invited
to participate in tournaments/festivals at other local organizations at
the conclusion of our regular season in early November. For teams that
would like to participate there will be a team fee to be paid to the
other organization when registering for those.

Well, now it is as easy as ever to stay in the loop. We send out email announcements for our events using our online registration system. Create an account in this database to make sure you get these emails. You can have multiple adults and each can even have multiple email addresses within the same account in this system. Create an account, then add your spouse and your children to the account. This same account will be used to register for all upcoming GCAA events. You will no longer have to re-enter your name, address, and other information each season to register your children or yourself for any of our events. This account will be used for all sports registrations at GCAA.

 2010 FALL VOLLEYBALL
We will have 2 age groups, probably split 8-11 and 11-14, based on final
numbers. This season will be played by teams drafted on August 26, 2010 and there will be several weeks of practices before games start.
There will 2 nights of practice until games start and then 1 night of practice and 1 night for games.
The nights have not been decided yet, but all
practices and games will be during the week. All games will be played on Friday nights.

Girls Travel Ball 8U, 10U,
12U
The Cleveland
Angels, will be having try-outs for the upcoming season on Saturday
July
31st and Sunday August 1st. We currently are in
search of
coaches for the 8U program and possibly assistant coaches for the other
age
classifications. We are looking for both dedicated and committed players
as well
as parents to become a part of great organization who want to excel in
the game
of Fastpitch Softball. We look to start out the fall season playing 1-2
times a month and practice 2 times a week with dedicated fields and
indoor
practice facility for rain or shine practice
The try-outs will
be
done at the GCAA located at

Cleveland School Road
Clayton,
NC

Field 1 on both days. On
Saturday July 31st starting @ 9AM, 8U (9-10 AM), 10U
(10AM-12PM), & 12U (1-3PM). On Sunday August 1st
starting @ 2PM,
8U (2-3), 10U (3-4:30), & 12U (4:30-6:00) please arrive ~30 minutes
prior to
the start of the designated try-out time to fill out necessary
paperwork. If you
